This morning on ESPN, one of the female reports was giving some report from Giant stadium while the players were warming up. "Sunday Morning" was playing over the stadium speakers. This insures a Giant victory today.

As a lifelong Falcons fan, I thought we'd hit rock bottom in 2007, when the franchise QB was sent to prison for dogfighting and the first-year head coach snuck out of town to take the Arkansas job towards the end of the season.
Oh, how wrong I was.

Even though they haven't scored well into the 4th quarter...this was hardly a bad year for the Falcons. They are a few players away from being elite. Maybe another receiver, a defensive lineman and cornerback.
But after the Giants played a track of the 1st VU album, I am not sure Atlanta ever had a chance...

"We saw your Cowboys play the Eagles last night. They didn't even let them have the ball on the first down. You should always let the other person have the ball, at least in football."

To anyone weeping about their team's performance this year, just be grateful you don't live in St. Louis.
Of course, most people are grateful for that even when football isn't involved.

The son of God himself had to personally incarnate on the playing field to beat my team the Steelers.

If quarterbacks were musicians, I'd say that we (the Patriots) have John Lennon.
Though with our horrible defense, I'm wagering that the winner of the Giants/Packers will go on to win it all.

So THAT explains it!
...
I guess the theological ramifications of Tebow not being drafted by The Saints are simply too mind-boggling to even be contemplated?

As a non-believing (theologically speaking) Saints fan, I say thank God that Tebow was not drafted by my Saints!

Aw man, this about football? I thought Lou, John and Moe might actually be reunited and playing a stadium. How awesome would that be!
But who'd fill in for Sterling? Hmm...Thurston Moore..?

I like it.
I think Tebow is that douche from Daughtry. The one named Daughtry.
Big Ben would be. . . Gene Simmons?
Peyton Manning would be Van Morrison or someone similarly legendary and credible.
I think Jay Cutler would have to be our Morrissey.

OK. I'll admit it.
I have no idea where that came from ... what it means ... or where it's heading.

I doubt the avian community has much use for Alice Cooper, John Cale or Ozzy Osbourne.

I'm going with Drew Brees as Springsteen.
And Tony Romo as John Mayer. Not because they both had some Jessica Simpson, but because they both turn my stomach a bit.
