Do we all know about the new Primitons collection Don't Go Away that compiles all of their previous recordings onto one CD? I'm listening to it now. It's pretty amazing. Why these guys weren't as popular as their 80s janglepop contemporaries I don't understand.

Funny - I was in Atlanta and Athens in that timeframe and sorta knew Tim Lee, but I do not recall hearing or hearing about this band. Sounds cool though, so I'll be on the lookout for this compilation disc.

Maybe that's why they never got as popular as, say, the Windbreakers. Nobody knew about 'em. If only they'd been on DB Records...

Indeed. Although when I knew Tim Lee, he was working alongside a buddy of mine making burritos at a joint called Tortillas in Atlanta in 1990. The Windbreakers might have been marginally popular and on DB Recs, but Tim was forced to earn his living the old fashioned rock 'n' roll way: in the service industry.

First I see the Clean are coming to DC and now this. Good news all around. The reason I keep checking out this board.
