"Shake Some Action" - The Flamin' Groovies

"Rebel Rebel" - David Bowie (by request ... as if anyone needs to ask me to play some Bowie)
"She's Not There" - The Zombies (for drummer Hugh Grundy's birthday)
"Nothing But Heartaches" - Diana Ross & the Supremes (for Mary Wilson's birthday)
"Let There Be More Light" - Pink Floyd (for David Gilmour's birthday)

"The Wild, the Beautiful and the Damned" - Ultravox
"Amazing Journey/Sparks" - The Who (Live at Leeds version, by request)

"So It Goes" - Nick Lowe
"Drain You" - Maps & Atlases
"The Girl from Baltimore" - The Fleshtones
"Runaway" - Imperial Teen
"Baby, I Love Your Way" - Big Mountain (by request ... let me stress, that one was by request)

"Making Time" - The Creation
"Do the Boob" - The Real Kids
"I Predict" - Sparks
"Let's All Go (To the Fire Dances)" - Killing Joke

"Secret Agent Man" - Devo
"What Girls Want" - Material Issue

Wow, great set list, Delvin! Someone actually called up to request the "Amazing Journey/Sparks" medley from Live at Leeds? What a strange request.

p.s. How would you rate your two DJ'ing gigs (world music vs pop gig).

p.p.s. Can we actually listen live and call up requests? How do we do this again?

Thanks, Nose! The listener called during the Ultravox song; he did request "Amazing Journey/Sparks" but didn't specify the live version. The coincidence, though, was even stranger: I just happened to have Live at Leeds in my hand when the phone rang.

Well, the pop/rock is my true musical love, but Planet Groove is a fun gig. I find a lot of cool music that I might've overlooked (especially on compilations). And most of the callers have said they like the direction I've taken the show — more traditional world music, less techno.

Yeah, you can, but as things stand now, last night's double-header might've been my last shows for KRCC. I'm currently awaiting the paperwork for me to start an assignment up in Seattle. If I can walk the walk on that job, I'll probably get a permanent offer, and relocate up there.

On the other hand, once it's sure that I'll be moving, I'll drop by the public radio stations in the area and ask if they need a new DJ. So watch this space for future developments! Thanks.
