Boy, it seems like society is really getting out there.
I don't think Harley was ever really straight edge and never fully dove into Krishna Consciousness like John. He did get into it though. You'll find that the most extreme people will get involved with outsider movements. Harley's actions don't really reflect anything other than he was a loose cannon.

Yes, but you're talking about a counterculture that warranted a National Geographic Channel special about the violence and vigilantism it has spawned. Makes you wonder if Ian McKaye could find himself a time machine so he could back and destroy all master copies of "Straight Edge" before it was committed to vinyl. Most of the SxE kids I have known (and I'll call them kids because of either biological age or their maturity level) have a pretty Old Testament-y/Jihad-y worldview of things, if you know what I mean....
