Ha! I saw them during their `88 tour and it was probably the worst show I have ever seen. The Mighty Lemon Drops were openers and I missed them. Though, lucky me! I did get to see The Bubblemen dance around to their one song. Then L&R came out and it was like the Beatles were performing -- all of the women in the audience screamed nonstop. I never knew they were also teen idols. They didn't acknowledge the crowd, played through their songs omitting their one big hit at the time - "So Alive". Right before the last song, David J said "We don't normally say 'Thank You' but if we did, we would". This was at the Warner Theater, a step below arenas, so they were a pretty big deal at the time. Fame, being fickle, the next time they came around, their popularity had dropped dramatically and they were a much smaller place.
